Thanks Judi

Family, friends and Pups Without Partners volunteers gathered at the Woodlands on Saturday July 7 to celebrate the life of a special person - Judith Ann Hall Reichwein.

Judi was a long-time volunteer for the Pups Without Partners program who passed away on May 15, 2007. Her family wanted to spend an afternoon doing something Judi enjoyed - watching fast dogs and having fun.

Photos, keepsakes and stories made their way around the tables in the Kennel Club as everyone remembered a special lady who gave so much of herself.

The eighth race was dedicated to Judi, and Kay V Evening broke away and won the Grade B race on a day that will be remembered by everyone who knew and loved Judi.

"Sometimes sweet
sometimes not
sometimes cool
sometimes hot
what you saw
was what you got
and I'm telling you guys
you never saw
Judi in disguise

Mostly loose
rarely up-tight
Happy, happy day and night
tried to do just what was right
and I'm telling you guys
Judi was never in disguise

It sounds funny
they called her
Timex and Energizer Bunny
when she was good
she was very, very good
when she was bad
she was a honey
like a good vintage wine
better as time flies
and I'm telling you guys
Judi was never in disguise

A little bit lazy
a little bit crazy
a little bit off the wall
at five foot nothing she was kind of small
but when she stood by you
she was twelve feet tall

Sometimes under the radar
sometimes over the top
a piece of work
or a work in progress
one thing she was NOT
Judi in disguise."
